I feel that all these nonsense is really just because of Man's greed...greed for convenience...greed for self-preservation...greed for a better life...greed for power...all at the expense of Mother Earth, animals & other less privileged humans...
Does things like War really make sense? spending billions of dollars building weapons just to destroy things that are worth billions of dollars too? I know it may seem too simplistic through a perspective like that...but it is the bare & simple facts that stuns me...how many children can the money spent on a nuclear warhead feed? it really pains my heart thinking abt it...
It seems that Man engrossed in his own brilliance, his own definitives, his own artifical satisfaction...have already lost sight of what really matters...I suddenly thought of this song that we will always sing during YVIP campfre...I loved the lyrics a lot...real meaningful...its titled
"SALTWATER" by Julian Lennon
We are a rock revolving around a golden sun
We are a billion children rolled into one
But when I hear about the hole in the sky
Saltwater wells in my eyes
We climb the highest mountain, we'll make the desert bloom
We are so ingenious we can walk on the moon
But when I hear of how the forests have died
Saltwater wells in my eyes
I have lived for love but now thats not enough
For the world I love is dying and now I'm crying
And time is not a friend (no friend of mine)
As friends we are out of time and its slowly passing by...
Right before our eyes
We light the deepest ocean, send photographs of Mars
We are so enchanted by how clever we are
Why should one baby feel so hungry she cries
Saltwater wells in my eyes
We are a rock revolving around a golden sun
We are a billion children rolled into one
What will I think of me the day that I die
Saltwater wells in my eyes
Saltwater wells in my eyes
